NYCxDesign launch with Christine Quinn on Monday at Times Square
Joe Masibay, owner of Breadbox Studio and Savona Bailey-McClain, Executive Director of The West Harlem Art Fund attended the launch of the NYCxDesign at Times Square on May 6 at the invitation of City Council Speaker Christine Quinn.
Joe Masibay took to the podium to invite everyone to his Harlem toy design studio and collaborative co-working space. He would like everyone to be able to experience and gain the ability to utilize digital technology by offering co-working space and classes for all ages as well as hosting monthly meet-up groups for local designers and creatives.
He urged everyone who wanted to get involved to come up to Harlem on Saturday to check out the studio and to share ideas.
Breadbox Studio and The West Harlem Art Fund have partnered for this event because they would like to continue to  grow and develop the design community and digital technology in Harlem. Joe Masibay and Savona Bailey-McClain agree:  “We need the continuing support of Harlem residents and businesses. We also need the support of local government: we welcome more initiatives like NYCxDesign and funding.”
He urged everyone who wanted to get involved to come up to Harlem on Saturday to check out the studio and to share ideas.
